Sh. Djafer Sebkhaoui

Imam Djafer Sebkhaoui, the Muslim chaplain at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), came to Rensselaer from Algeria as a graduate student in the field of psychology. He obtained his Masters in Psychology. Imam Sebkhaoui was part of Muslim Student Association (MSA) at RPI, which eventually became the Muslim Community of Troy (MCT). He was a cofounder of the Muslim Community of Troy as well as Masjid Al-Hidaya, the first Mosque in Troy. 


Omar T. Mohammedi, ESQ

Mr. Mohammedi is a lawyer known among the Muslim communities. With a set law firm in New York, and an active member (President) of The Association of Muslim Lawyers (AMAL), Mr. Mohammedi has won many famous cases, some of them being the case of the Six Imams in 2007, and the Islamic Center of South Florida case in 2007. Dr. Mohand Koukhi

Dr. Mohand Khoukhi holds a PhD and Masters degrees in Economics from France and an MBA from  Keller Graduate School, DeVry University.

Dr. Mohand Khoukhi is a professor and teaches several courses in Economics and Business at DeVry University, CUNY and Berkley College.
